Bunnings Sausage Sizzle - LATEST INFORMATION UPDATE

13 Oct 2020 by Michael Werts (Casper)

TO ALL BUNNINGS VOLUNTEERS.

If you’ve not put your name down but have some spare time come anyway.

Robina Bunnings, 57, Scottsdale road Robina

As you may be aware there are now new and more stringent requirements from Bunnings with regards to the charity BBQ’s. it’s likely we will be continually observed by staff.

I would ask all of you to take this seriously because if we stuff it up, we won’t be allowed back, and bang goes our biggest chance to deliver dollars for the Christmas toy run.

We need to be well presented in clean clothing with closed in foot ware. We need to have a clean apron, (that is not offensive.) I will have some spare apron but if you can bring your own so much the better.

The jobs have to be defined, one person meets and greets the patron and explains the ordering and payment procedure. We have a cashless system in place but should they want to pay by cash Bunnings insist we use a small container to transfer funds so there is no hand to hand or glove contact. The cooking of snags and onions remains the same. I have bought non-slip onions, but they must be put on first. I know.

I know we all what to get it right and at the end of the day we need to have a little fun with it but not at the expense of our goals, last year we raised  over $1,000.

I have condensed the 8 pages I got into the above. Looking at all the rules and regulations I’m a bit daunted by it all but I’m sure it will all become clearer and easer in application on the day.

Anyway, don’t come if you’re sick (physically) I know most of your mental states wouldn’t take too much scrutiny but we’re all in the same boat there.

If your not able to come and help, please come by for moral support and if you can buy a snag.

Thanks for taking the time to read this.

Paul Jacobs.
